1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Unnamed Traveler, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Unnamed Traveler websites, mobile applications, and related services (the “Service”). Questions? Contact us at legal@unnamedtraveler.com.

2. Information We Collect

• Account data. Your email address, your name and profile photo if you sign in with a third-party provider such as Google, and the authentication identifiers our auth provider (Supabase) generates when you sign in.
• Purchase data. A record of which city guides you have purchased and the entitlements associated with your account. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe) and are never stored on our servers.
• Location data (mobile app).If you grant permission, our mobile app uses your device’s location while you are using the app to center the map and show nearby places. You can decline or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
• Usage data. Pages and screens you view, places you save, A/B test variant assignments, and basic device and browser metadata (such as browser type, operating system, and approximate region) used to operate and improve the Service.
• Chat data. Prompts you send to any AI-powered features, the responses, and the conversation history needed to provide continuity.
• Cookies and local storage. Authentication session tokens, user preferences, and anonymized analytics identifiers.

3. How We Use Information

• Operate, maintain, and secure the Service.
• Personalize your experience (for example, surfacing your saved places).
• Process purchases and grant the entitlements you purchase.
• Send transactional communications such as purchase confirmations and sign-in emails.
• Improve our curation, content, and product based on aggregate usage patterns.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, fraud, and security issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Services & Sub-Processors

We rely on third parties to operate the Service. Your data may be processed by them solely as needed to provide the Service to you:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting in the United States.
• Meta Platforms — advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, as described in Section 5.
• Google — advertising measurement via Google Ads conversion tracking.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery, such as sign-in and purchase confirmation emails.
• Sentry — application error and diagnostics reporting.
• Google Maps Platform— map tiles, place data, and place photos. Your interaction with map features is also subject to Google’s privacy policy.
• Google Gemini — AI-assisted content generation for our guides and other AI-powered features. Prompts you send to those features, along with relevant context, may be transmitted to Google for processing.

This list may change as our infrastructure evolves. We will update this policy when sub-processors change in a way that materially affects the handling of your personal data.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use a limited set of cookies and similar local-storage mechanisms: strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management, anonymized analytics identifiers to understand aggregate usage, and identifiers used to deliver consistent A/B test variant assignments. We do not sell your personal information.

We use Meta (Facebook) advertising tools, including the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, to measure ad performance and understand how visitors use our site. These tools may set cookies (such as _fbp and _fbc) and receive information about your visit, including pages viewed and purchases. Purchase data shared with Meta is hashed. We also collect first-party analytics about how visitors move through our site, tied to a random visitor identifier rather than your name.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and purchase data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing legal@unnamedtraveler.com.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to request a portable copy of certain data. For US users covered by the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws, you also have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, to delete that information, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. 8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us at legal@unnamedtraveler.com and we will delete it.

9. International Users & Data Transfers

The Service is operated from, and your data is processed and stored in, the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your country.

10. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Notify us promptly at legal@unnamedtraveler.com if you believe your account or data has been compromised.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, will provide additional notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
